ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA FOR B.E PROGRAM
A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.
The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses). ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA FOR B.E PROGRAM
The admission process at DSCE is conducted through common tests that are conducted by state agencies and national agencies like CET and COMMED-K. It commences in the month of March every year and concludes on 31st July of the same year. The lateral entry (Diploma Quota) through CET is for 3rd semester and commences in the month of July/August.
For UG, The admission to college is through the entrance test, Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government & Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka COMEDK. The students with meritorious ranking are considered for admissions.

For engineering admission in Bangalore engineering admission in Bangalore through management quota in BMSIT & M, the minimum percentage of marks expected is 60% as per the current norms of the management.
The candidates satisfying the above criterion can apply through: –
Management Quota: The admission under management quota is processed in the office of the BMS Educational Trust. The Council of Trustees decide the tuition fee for various courses under management quota and seats are allotted by the Chief of the Admission Committee. The BMS Educational Trust advertises regarding the admission and the application forms are issued to the aspirants in the month of June / July of every year.

The University, at present, has established faculties in Engineering and Technology, Art and Design, Management and Commerce, Mathematical & Physical Sciences, Life and Allied Health Sciences, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy and Hospitality Management & Catering Technology. Through these faculties, the University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. The faculties offer an enriched curriculum drawn from the strong interactions between the faculties and industry and business.
The University has also created the Directorates of: Student Affairs; Quality, Educational Processes and Educational Technologies; Sponsored Research; Training and Lifelong Learning (TLLL) and Techno Centre to provide rich, all-round experience to students. The University’s head office is located at the Gnanagangothri Campus, MSR Nagar, New BEL Road, Bangalore. The modern infrastructural facilities like Class Rooms, Seminar Halls, Laboratories, Work Shops, Clinics, Libraries, Student Amenities including Sports Centers, Hostels, Cafeteria, Recreation Centers, Literary and Cultural activity centers, Wi-Fi and other support facilities to make the students’ experience enjoyable and memorable. ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA FOR B.E PROGRAM
Candidates for admission to the Programme shall meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the appropriate statutory bodies like AICTE etc.
Foreign Students seeking admissions should have equivalent qualification and must be proficient in English. Candidates must have minimum TOEFL score.
Following table describes the eligibility criteria:
ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATION
Pass 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or equivalent. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserve category) in the above subjects taken together.
LATERAL ENTRY TO SECOND YEAR:
- Passed Diploma examination from an approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserve category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology
- Passed B.Sc. from a recognized University as recognized by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserve category) and passed class 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as subjects
